Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith
We believe in the inspiration and preservation of the word of God. That is, it was inspired of God the moment it was spoken and then the spoken word was written down by holy men of God (1 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16; Jeremiah 36:1-4); we believe the God who inspired His word also is powerful enough to keep His word (Psalms 12:6-7; Matthew 24:35). Furthermore, we believe that the King James Bible does not just contain the word of God but is in fact the very words of God and His final authority in these last days.
We believe in the one true triune God consisting of three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe in a literal burning hell, originally created for the devil and his angels. But since the fall of man and choosing sin and death, hell has become man’s eternal place of torment as well, upon the rejection of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (Matthew 25:41; Luke 16:23-24; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:14-15).
We believe that Heaven is a literal place located on the sides of the North. It is a pure and holy place that sin and death cannot enter. It is the dwelling place of God and His angels and every saved child of God upon death will be present with Him (Psalms 48:2; Psalms 5:4; Matthew 6:9; John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 5:8).
We believe that salvation is grace through faith plus nothing. No works or merit of anyone could save themselves. It is by putting your full trust in the finished work of Christ. By the belief of one’s heart that God hath raised him from the dead salvation is obtained (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-13; Titus 3:5). Furthermore we believe what Paul preached and that is repentance toward God and faith toward out Lord Jesus Christ. We also believe God has given every man a free will and reject the heresy of Calvinism.
We believe that God who is powerful enough to save to the utter most is also powerful enough to keep you, by his Holy Spirit. That no matter what things you do present or things to come can separate you from the love of God (Ephesians 4:30; 2 Corinthians 1:22; 1 Peter 1:5; Romans 8:38-39; John 5:24; John 6:37, 39).
We believe that baptism is important for every believer but not a part of salvation. It is the outward showing to the church and the world that you are a new creature in Christ Jesus and that the old man is dead, and it is the answer of a good conscience toward God by immersion after salvation (1 Peter 3:21; Matthew 3:16; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:35-39).
We believe that the church consists of all saved believers in Christ and not a local building or denomination. The church is an organism and not an organization. Sometimes the Bible speaks of the church and the Body of Christ as referring to the same thing, saved believers (Ephesians 1″19-23; 5:23-32; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Colossians 1:24). As born-again believers we are looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We believe in the literal physical second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the main theme of the Bible: “A King and His Kingdom.” This is when the Lord will return from heaven to sit on His throne in Jerusalem and be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Psalms 2:1-8; Zephaniah 3:8-20; Zechariah 14:16-21).
We believe that right division of the Scriptures is essential to having proper doctrine (II Timothy 2:15). We reject the opposing positions of covenant theology as well as the hyper-dispensational point of view.
