The Most Important Thing You Can Know... Really.

Do you KNOW where you're going to spend eternity?

 

Chances are that you have wondered about this matter.  We ALL think about it from time to time, because as Human Beings we are ETERNAL creatures, and we instinctively know that there's more to our existence than just THIS life... we know intuitively that death is not the end of us.

But can anyone truly KNOW what happens?  Can a person really KNOW where he or she will spend eternity?

The answer is YES!  You can know for sure where your eternal soul will find a forever home.  The Bible says we CAN be certain about this!

The answer is based on one thing, and one thing only: What PAYMENT do you have for your sins? Everyone sins, and according to the Bible, your sins MUST be paid for one way or another. So the question of your eternity is hinging on the payment for your sins.

There is much debate and confusion about these matters, but THE TRUTH is actually very simple.

 

Believe it or not, there are only TWO religions that exist worldwide today: the DO, and the DONE.

Religion (pick one, pick any --they're all generally the same) teaches that YOU must do something to obtain salvation.

The Bible, on the other hand, teaches that you can do NOTHING to save yourself, but that Jesus Christ did all that was necessary for your salvation when He died in your place on the cross to PAY FOR YOUR SIN. The only thing you must do is receive what He did for you as a gift. That free gift is His righteousness, forgiveness for your sins, and salvation from an eternal punishment in hell, which we all deserve for our sin.

 

If you don't know for sure that your sins are forgiven and that you are on your way to Heaven, please take a moment to read God's simple plan to save you. Your eternity depends on it!

 

Here's How You Can Settle This Most Important Matter:

1. Admit that you are a sinner.

The Bible says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."  Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

You have to acknowledge the problem before you can get the solution!

 

2. Realize There is a penalty for your sin--Eternal Death

The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death;"  Romans 6:23

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."  Hebrews 9:27

"...And another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged... And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."  Revelation 20:12, 15

Physical death is the beginning of your eternity, and sin against an eternal God will be punished accordingly!

 

3. Understand that Jesus Christ took that penalty in your place.

The Bible says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."   Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."   John 3:16

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God..."  I Peter 3:18

"It is FINISHED."  John 19:30

What could you possibly have to offer that is better than Jesus Christ's sacrifice in your behalf...?

 

4. Believe what God said.

The Bible says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."   Romans 10:9-10

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  Romans 10:13

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."  Acts 16:31

Forsake the religion of DO and believe that it is DONE!

 

5. You can be saved and know it, RIGHT NOW.

Put your trust in what Jesus Christ did for you. All you have to do is ask; pray something like this: "Lord, please be merciful to me. I know I'm a sinner, but I don't want to go to hell. I believe that Jesus died for me, and that he rose from the grave. Please save my soul for Jesus’ sake, amen."

The Bible says, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life."  I John 5:13

Pray to God the best way you know how, and ask him to save you... and remember --the prayer doesn't save you; Jesus Christ does!

 

If you believed what you've read from God's word, and you asked the Lord to save you, YOU ARE SAVED.  Always remember, there is nothing that you or anyone else could ever do to change that!

Because of what Jesus Christ did for you, and because you have believed God's word and received HIS payment for your sins, you can NOW say, "I KNOW my sins are forgiven, and I KNOW that I will spend eternity in heaven!"
